A living Buddhist temple in the sacred Kumano region, and two weeks of working from it: mornings of quiet ritual, afternoons of deep work, waterfalls and ancient pilgrim trails around. One of the most grounding stays of my life, and the one I am going back to. Otera Stay keeps a centuries-old tradition open to the world; staying there keeps it open a little longer.
